‘Cuz of You Press Release
If Jack Johnson, The Lumineers, and Led Zeppelin had a baby, it would grow up to be Beau Baker. – Gil Navarro, Sound Engineer at the Iron Exchange
Minneapolis-based singer/songwriter Beau Baker crafts his rhythmically inspired songwriting style with strong vocals to create roots-rock Americana. Growing up an active and social student in Minneapolis, MN, Beau took to music at an early age, learning percussion, guitar, and piano. Always anxious to perform, he formed his first garage band at 14 while a member of his high school jazz band, pep band, marching band and the annual talent show’s “house band”. His focus on guitar led him to explore the complexities of some of his inspirations like Neil Young and Jimmy Page, among MANY others. Resulting in lyrically vivid songs with intricate melodies underscored by dense rhythms.
The band is gaining traction in the local music scene as one of the Twin Cities’ great new emerging artists. With the upcoming release of 4 singles in early 2022, the band is leaning into festivals and larger venues as their popularity grows. These new singles give stage to Beau’s rich vocal strength and melodies. And showcase the broad range of styles inherent in his songwriting. From the bluesy swing feel of ‘Cuz of You, to the ripping guitar of Can You Feel It, audiences are singing, dancing, and beaming with the electrifying energy Beau brings to the stage. Beau plays a solid 120 minute set of original music with another 90 minutes of classic covers if needed to fill out over a 3 hour set. He demonstrates great audience engagement in both small and large venues. In addition to regular music venue performances, they are already booked at Baystock (Bayfield WI), the St. Paul Art Crawl Kick-off, and Loon Fest in St. Paul, with numerous shows in between.
Beau is actively pursuing a national/international career playing to audiences anxious to hear music that moves them.
Beau is a BMI member and managed, promoted, and booked by Douglas Harvey & Associates, playing both solo gigs and with his band.
